It may be Swordfish for Thanksgiving dinner this year!

It may be Swordfish for Thanksgiving dinner this year!
We just completed a two-day swordfish clinic aboard the "Lisa" B out of the Nauti Dawg restaurant at the Port 32 Lighthouse point marina. The first day of the clinic was hampered by huge seas and inclement weather. We still made the trek all the way to the swordfish grounds and managed to fish six hours without a bite. The next day would be a completely different situation as the weather subsided and the barometer steadied. We were able to capture three beautiful swordfish. We harvested two fish for the crew members and released one to be caught another day. The swordfish bite should be excellent for the next 6 to 8 weeks. Closer to shore the mahi-mahi bite has been excellent this week. The best of the bite this was in about 200 to 300 feet of water and guys caught mahi while trolling and using live bait. The class of the fish was in the ten pound range. A few wahoo work out this week in the 15 pound range. For guys going over to the islands this weekend the wahoo bite has been consistent off of Bimini.
We should see great fishing all the way through the weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving to everybody and their families!
