"Lisa B" puts up some excellent catches all week as fishing stays consistent.
Whether you are trying to catch a swordfish or mahi-mahi now would be a great time to get out there! Pictured here are some catches from earlier this week aboard the "Lisa B" out of Lighthouse Point Florida. On the way out to the swordfish grounds we found several floating objects which held mahi-mahi. This weekend keep an eye out for floating debris as it will probably hold not only mahi but wahoo as well deep under the floaters. The best of the mahi bite was between 600 and 800 feet of water. The swordfishing though it is good is a bit difficult right now because of the current. There is lots of current with speed of the gulf stream around four knots. This makes swordfishing very difficult because it is hard to keep your bait 100 feet off the bottom. The bait of choice this week for the swords was bonito tacos. This is a folded and sewn up bait with a squid skirt and a 10/0 stainless hook.

Closer to shore the sailfish bite was actually pretty consistent. Several boats live baiting and trolling caught 1 to 2 fish per trip. The wahoo bite was slow all week. A few larger fish pushing 50 pounds were caught but for the number of anglers targeting wahoo the overall bite was down.
The beauty of fishing in Florida is that because of the current changes daily fishing never stays slow for very long.
