With the arrival of a cold front to our are fishing should be excellent all week.
Pictured here is Doug Schaffer with a beautiful Wahoo from a trip earlier this week aboard the Dats'nasty.
We are coming off the backside of the moon and anglers were greeted with excellent fishing all week. Lots of wahoo and mahi-mahi were caught along the coast as well as sailfish farther north. The arrival of a cold front signifies the change of season for us as well as a change of season for fishing as well. We will see a heavier concentration of live bait anglers in search of sailfish anglers along our coast for the next several months. People will start fishing kites with live bait and vessels will be heavily concentrated between 100 and 300 feet of water. The best of the fishing is usually right after the cold front for the sails.
We should see consistent fishing through the weekend as the weather begins to subside. We will be Swordfishing all weekend. For an up-to-the-minute fishing report tune into Big 105.9 the Paul Castronovo Papas Pilar fishing report Friday mornings at 6:20 AM
