Well we have flat calm sea conditions and as of now it looks to be a beautiful weekend. Don’t be afraid to venture east in search of mahi-mahi as lots of boats have had success this week.

If you’re going to head out of Hillsboro Inlet be sure to head southeast into the gulfstream current for best positioning. I usually point my boat at 150 degrees. We have a full moon which means heavy current so if you find a school of fish and lose track of time you will get pulled by the current to the north rapidly.

Often times people don’t calculate this current issue around the moon and struggle against the current on the way home burning excess fuel. Some boats even run out!
