This weekend is going to be beautiful on the ocean. The change of temperature over the last few days has caused a migration of the mullet to move to our area. These mullet schools are swimming right along the shoreline are being pursued by large tarpon, snook, bluefish, and sharks. Your best bet fishing from the beach would be to use a spinning rod outfit. As for the rig you could cast artificial lures such as the 6 inch original Rapala Mirrolures or bucktail jigs named Flarehawk. Fishing from a boat I would fish a live mullet on the bottom out in front of the school. Don't be afraid to fish a dead mullet on the bottom either as the big tarpon and sharks will eat it right up.
