Pictured here is a nice mutton snapper and a cooler full of king fish we caught last weekend. This time of the year we anchor quite a bit in 125 feet of water. We will fish one kite with three baits off to one side behind the boat.

We will then fish 1 to 2 bottom rods for snapper and an occasional cobia. When the rod bends over you never really know what you have. That is the beauty of fishing here in March.

We catch wahoo, tuna and sailfish and almost everything while we are anchored. Make sure you have a floating ball to retrieve your anchor. If you need help getting set up to fish this way stop by the store.

Get tight!
