How About Swordfish for Thanksgiving!
The bite this weekend for swordfish should be excellent. We have caught some of our biggest fish around Thanksgiving and hopefully this weekend will not disappoint. We have caught three fish over 500 pounds around Thanksgiving. The bite has been mediocre but should pick up as we speak. This is also the time of the year where we start to see a lot of bait offshore on the sword grounds. Do not be afraid to fish shallow around 1200 to 1400 feet for the swords.Â
Farther near shore the wahoo and mahi bite was very good this week and the king fishing was excellent! Everything we caught trolling close to shore was inside of 2 miles and around a depth of 125 to 200 feet of water. Lastly the sailbite has also been excellent from Miami to Palm Beach. Live bait has been the ticket so be sure to pick some up at your local marina.Â
