Still a Mixed Bag!

Still a Mixed Bag!

Earlier this week we had Tony Grant and his posse out for the morning. The rod stayed bent all day as we filled the box with kingfish, bonito and blackfin tuna. You never really know what you are going to catch right now which makes it exciting! During the week there were plenty of sailfish and wahoo also caught. The “Native Son” boated two really nice wahoo around 40 pounds. All of these fish were caught in a depth between 100 and 200 feet of water off of Boca. We were trolling 2 planers with mullet strips and 3 top rod daisy chains.

The “Trash Can Slam” tournament benefiting autism and run by local artist and student Mikaela Whitmer last weekend was a huge success. 56 boats completed with the winner being the “O Sea D/Vitamin Sea” crew with 265 pounds of fish.

Lastly, with all of the rain around please make sure to charge your batteries so that your bilge pumps work properly. Also make sure your Insurance is up-to-date as we are entering the storm season.
