This is a great time of the year to venture offshore for a swordfish. Though it may blow a little this weekend the ocean should be beautiful all during the week. There have been several reports of fish up to 500lbs hooked and or caught. We fought and lost a fish last week pushing the 1,000 pound mark. We fought the fish for 20 miles and almost 6 hours. We had fishing trips all during this week where we were able to catch one or two swordfish per trip for our charters. The best depth has been 1750 feet of water and the bait of choice this week was bonito bellies. Lots of big dolphin were caught by the boats sword fishing. Scattered weed has been making it hard to troll so I would suggest running around and fishing in areas that you can do so.
