Wahoo Bite Pushes Farther Offshore
Pictured here is AJ Castronovo and Max Placter with a pair of wahoo from a few days back. Until recently, most of the good wahoo fishing was in around 200 to 225 feet of water. These boys had a couple of really solid days catching not only these fish but another wahoo the next day out to 400+ feet. We must remember there are no fences when it comes to fishing for highly migratory species like wahoo. If you are fishing this weekend, be sure to go out a bit deeper to try and land one of these awesome eating fish.
Mixed in with the Wahoo were plenty of sailfish. We notice that we get a lot of sail bites because we are moving relatively fast at around 8 to 9 knots over ground. A sailfish also likes a fast-moving bait. We caught several mahi-mahi mixed in with the bite so this weekend should be great!

Good luck out there!
