Pictured here is Bill Zito(left) the general manager of the Florida Panthers with a few other hockey elites posing with a few nice wahoo from our charter the other day. We were extremely lucky to catch these fish as they were both caught on monofilament leaders. Wahoo have the super sharp teeth and catching one on mono is lucky but catching two is crazy! Sometimes people ask why we don't fish wire leaders and the answer is simple. You will get less bites fishing wire! Over the course of the last week the trolling has been hit or miss. We had a few productive days with tuna and wahoo but overall slow fishing. The sailfish bite was excellent on Tuesday and Wednesday when the front pushed through, and the temperatures were cool. "Double D" out of Miami caught a dozen sails with only one angler on board. We are most likely going to see the sails bite again Sunday, Monday and Tuesday as a front pushes through.
