Pictured here is Aubrea Jeffers with a stud swordfish caught a few days back with John Michael Lavergne out of Hillsboro Inlet. These two anglers have been putting up solid catches of swords the last several weeks! There are lots of big fish traveling through right now and several boats landed fish over the 300-pound mark. The best of the bite has been in a depth of 1,600 feet of water and the bait of choice is the squid tentacle. 

Closer to shore the sailfish bite slowed way down but the wahoo bite stayed consistent. The wahoo were on the smaller side in the 15 pound range. 

The snapper bite is still great for both vermilion and yellowtail. John Abreau out of Lighthouse Point put up a solid catch of mangrove snapper and yellowtail on an evening trip this week. Don't be afraid to fish for snapper at night!
