If catching a tarpon is on your bucket list then now is the time to do it. Big tarpon have made there stop in our local waters during their yearly migration. The best of the fishing now seems to be in the Miami area but you can catch them around all of the local inlets. I have fished with Capt. Russell Kleppinger for the last few years and have caught fish over 100 pounds each time. Every night this week he has put customers on big fish, many of these catches being firsts for anglers. Pictured here is Yorick Lemieux from New Caledonia (island off the coast of Australia) capturing a 177 pound tarpon. This fish was released after an hour and a half battle. Most of the tarpon are being caught on live shrimp and crabs. Give Russell a call and make your dreams come true.
