Pictured here is Jake Seiden with a table full of fish caught on our monthly Mission Fishin outing. Jake challenged us by claiming we could not tire him out. We won! In a four hour trip we caught bonito, kingfish and barracuda which makes excellent swordfish bait. The weather has been fabulous with flat calm seas for the most part and hot beautiful weather. I would much rather have hot then cold weather! The great thing about trolling and fishing in South Florida is that all of these fish were caught 1 mile off the beach. Most people don't realize that all of our trophy fish including Billfish are caught really close to shore.

The snapper bite is still really consistent with mutton snapper and yellowtail being caught by most anglers. The best of the mutton bite is it around 150 feet of water or around the wrecks. The yellowtail bite has been great and 70 to 80 feet inside the reef. Offshore the swordfish bite was nonexistent this week but the mahi-mahi fishing cranked up a bit. Several fish over 25 pounds were caught by anglers fishing scattered weed lines in the gulf stream.
