Bottom fishing is heating up!

Bottom fishing is heating up!

One of the great things about living in South Florida is the ability to catch lots of fish species. At this time of the year try your hand at fishing the bottom in deep water. Pictured here is just a few of the fish caught this week on a trip offshore. The golden tile fish at the bottom of the picture is one of the best eating deep water fish in our local area. We fish for them anywhere from 700 feet to 900 feet of water. An electric reel is really a must for easy retrieval and a decent bottom machine really helps. One thing we usually do is make a drop or two in the deep when we are trolling for dolphin or on our way in from sword fishing. It doesn't really take much time and you never know what your going to capture. To get set up with the rigs and bait give us a call at the shop and we can get you dialed in.
