Crystal Clear
Pictured here is a swordfish eye from a fish that we caught a few days back. It is so amazing that a fish living nearly 2000 feet under the surface and pitch black darkness can feed and actually see. The eyeball that you see here is roughly 5 inches across. Now I want you to think about your eyeballs which really average let’s say an inch and a half to 2 inches across. Think of how good you can actually see and at what distance depending on your age of course. I have dissected the eye of a swordfish and can tell you the actual lens itself which looks like a clear marble is actually bigger than our whole human eyeball.
These prehistoric fish have such special abilities. After fishing for 30 years for these wonderful fish I can tell that we have barely scratched the surface when it comes to understanding these fish and even more whatever happens down there in the abyss.
We are so lucky to be experiencing this human fishing evolution.
