Finally!

Finally!

What a treat it was this week to finally catch a few nice Mahi-Mahi! Pictured here is our fish box with some quality dolphin from earlier this week. We captured up to a dozen fish on most charters and we never had to go more than a mile out. Most of the fish you see were caught on daisychains and bonito strips trolled at 8 knots. We also caught spanish mackerel and a decent wahoo. We have had reports of some nice kingfish catches to our north this week and lots of nice cobia to the south. The fish are moving in! Over the next few weeks we should see all fishing improve.

The offshore bite for swordfish has slowed a bit as the southeasterly wind has really caused the current to smoke out there with current speeds up to 5 knots. Swordfishing in heavy current is very difficult so I would wait until the south wind subsides a bit to venture out.

Snappers are still biting!

Have a great weekend and make sure to check the weather
