Fishing is Getting Better!

Fishing is Getting Better!

Pictured here is the Cox family showing off some wahoo, mahi and a sailfish release they caught on a trip earlier this week aboard the “Lisa B” with Capt. Mark Danley.

We have had seriously rough sea conditions over the last week. That being said it is the beginning of our charter season and we are booked almost every single day. With the rough seas we have noticed an increase in the amount of quality fish. Sailfish, wahoo and mahi have all been consistently biting on all of our trips. Most of the action has been around the 200 foot depth and north of Boca inlet. The sailfish and mahi-mahi have come while kite fishing with live bait.

The wahoo have been on the troll using planers. With rough sea conditions we find ourselves fishing live bait and kites more often as we can poke out to 200 feet of water just outside the inlet and drift north towards Boca. Trolling in rough seas can be tough on the customers. Be sure to look at your marine forecast through the weekend to make sure that the sea conditions have subsided. We have no reports offshore this week due to the rough seas. We should see some really good fishing next week after the blow!

Stay safe!
