HAND CRANKING SWORDS!
Over the last several months we have been working on catching swordfish with handcrank manual reels instead of electric. Pictured here is Dr Manny Gonzalez fighting a swordfish earlier this week. We are fishing light tackle and the results are phenomenal.
The current is very strong in the Gulfstream where we fish. By using lighter tackle we have been able to cut the current and fish effectively. Believe it or not the fish fight differently with light tackle and come to the surface quicker because we don't use big leads. It is so awesome to be able to fight these beautiful fish by hand!
