Make your Bites Count!

Make your Bites Count!

Pictured here is the McNeil family with a nice wahoo and a pair of mahi-mahi they caught on a trip earlier this week on the “Lisa B” out of the Lighthouse Point Yacht and Racquet Club. Truth be told we only had three bites in four hours and you are looking at what we caught. We also got skunked twice this week never getting a bite so I will say that you need to make your bites count during this time of the year. We should see much better fishing starting mid March. The “Rebound”  had a few good catches of wahoo this week and there were a few sailfish caught out of Hillsboro inlet.

The yellowfin tuna bite is on fire already over in the Northwest Providence channel. Several employees at RJ Boyle studio were able to put up big numbers on yellowfin tuna earlier this week. Most of the fish ranged in the 40 to 60 pound range. Live bait was completely necessary on this trip as the boys brought 1000 pilchards with them. The season is just starting there so give us a call if you need an up-to-date report.

Stay tight!
