What a joy it is to spend an afternoon fishing for bass. In all of my years of fishing I have never really spent any time fishing in fresh water. One of my longtime friends and great fishermen Capt. Bill Lepree has been hot on the bass thing for quite sometime now. I know Bill as an expert meat fishermen in saltwater. He has always been known as a sailfish,kingfish and snapper guru in our industry. I couldn't help but notice some of his great freshwater catches through social media avenues so I decided to ask if I could tag along on one of his freshwater trips. We fished with light tackle outfits and used live shiners for bait. We fished the Delray area canals and never stopped catching fish the entire trip. In a three hour span we managed to catch 25 peacock bass and 20 largemouth bass. What a way to spend the afternoon. Needless to say I will be fishing again soon in fresh water.
