Rough Seas Forecast for the Weekend
Pictured here is a Luke Mears with a beautiful snook caught earlier this week. Due to rough sea conditions I highly recommend fishing near or around the local inlets. There have been multiple reports of big snook and tarpon throughout the week at Hillsboro and Boca Inlets. One of the other cool things happening right now is the pompano fishery. Pompano is a great eating fish generally ranging between 1 and 2 pounds and those can also be caught in the local inlets. Some people love to use live bait such as finger mullet while others love to fish for snook and tarpon with artificial Jigs and Lures. Either way, this weekend would be a good time to fish in the back water with the rough seas in the ocean. To catch the pompano you can use crabs and or goofy jigs thrown from a spinning rod outfit. We will let you know if the weather changes this week. Tune in to 105.9 the Paul Castronovo show on Friday morning at 6:40 AM and we will give an updated forecast!
