Over the last six weeks we have had a huge migration of squid run through our area. Small squid nearshore and larger squid offshore. Almost everybody who has been swordfishing has caught a squid on their hook accidentally. This poses a problem because you're committing and hour to each drop.

With the squid on the hook lots of times the bait will spin and not to get a bite therefore wasting the drop. Due to this squid problem I would limit my drop time to 30 minutes. On the flipside the swordfishing has been excellent because there is so much Bait here. Just make shorter drops.
