Swords are biting
The swordfish bite has been consistent all week. A number of boats have brought fish to the scales weighing in excess of 200 pounds. The best of the sword bite has been happening just south of Fort Lauderdale on the Hollywood border. The best depths have been around 1700 feet and the bait of choice has been bonito. The current has been light which makes it easy for fishing even though the seas have been a little rough. This time of the year you will start to notice more flat calm days as we approach summer which makes it easy to run offshore for swordfish. There are also a few dolphin around so give it a go.
