Wahoo and Dolphin

Wahoo and Dolphin

This weekend give the wahoo and dolphin a shot. Anytime around the full moon you will want to try your luck fishing near shore trolling or live baiting for wahoo. Concentrate your efforts fishing in 120 -250 feet of water. The best of the bite will be on the first two hours of the falling tide. If you are trolling you may want to pull rigged bonito strips with an Islander over the top or horse ballyhoo with the same size Islander. The average speed should be between 6 and 9 knots. As for the dolphin venture offshore to around 700 feet of water. Keep your eyes open as you head offshore looking for the weed line or current edge. Most of the dolphin caught this week have been in the 5-10 pound range. If you need any assistance give us a call at the shop.
