Pictured here is the crew aboard “Queen of the South” last weekend at the Slicker Wahoo Tournament in Bimini. We placed third out of 29 boats which was a great showing. The day prior to the tournament we landed a 56 pounder which would have been good enough for the biggest fish win on Saturday. “Ditch Digger”, “Dirty Money”,” "Hoos Your Daddy” and “Sandbob” put up money winning catches of wahoo as well. Weather conditions were perfect as boats ran different directions to find the fish. The wahoo bite sure has been consistent for for quite some time. Closer to home in our waters the bite stayed crazy as the Lisa B caught four wahoo in a half day charter. These gentlemen, (Bill Bouck) party, book our charter boat always around the full moon and are gifted with great catches. Obviously wahoo are chewing so give us a call and we can get you tight!
Sailfish and Mahi-Mahi were few and far between this week. Be sure to check the weather forecast this weekend before venturing out. Tune in to 105.9 on Friday morning at 6:40 for an up to the date fishing report with RJ Boyle and Paul Castronovo.
