You Never Know What is Going to Bite!

You Never Know What is Going to Bite!

Pictured here is the Cooper party from a charter trip earlier this week aboard the “Lisa B”. Even though we didn’t fill the rack we still put up what I consider to be a solid catch in four hours of fishing. Anytime you catch a billfish we consider a great day of fishing. At certain times of the year yes, we may catch a few on one trip but the bottom line in saltwater fishing is to try to catch one. To mix in a few great eating pelagic fish like wahoo and Mahi-Mahi just adds to the trip. What a day it was.
The swordfish bite was tough all week as the current is still raging which makes it difficult to fish effectively.
We should see swordfishing improve as we get farther off of the full moon. We have noticed that we catch bigger fish around the full moon but less fish overall. When we have a small moon in the sky in the daytime, we catch more numbers of fish.
The mahi-mahi bite is still decent offshore around the weed patches.
The sea conditions are favorable for the weekend so give it a go!
